The BMW G310R Review Features and Specifications

The BMW G310R is the perfect bike for urban day rides. It’s small and agile, easy to handle, and the 30.9-inch seat height ensures I can get my feet flat on the ground at every stop.

The strength of the BMW G310R is in its lightness and agility. The 313cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine not only delivers fun in the big-city, but also when you are redefining the city limits when changing corners quickly.

BMW added ride-by-wire to the 2022 G310R to meet Euro 5 emissions requirements. A side benefit is that the ECU is programmed to automatically increase the rpm if the engine is about to stall. Particularly for a novice-targeted bike, this is a great benefit.

The unconventional single-cylinder engine has a special design: Compared to conventional designs, the cylinder head is rotated 180 degrees, which pushes the vehicle’s center of gravity towards the front wheel. This makes the G310R agile and easy to control. With the new Ride by Wire system, throttle response is stable and at the ready. And the self-reinforcing slipper clutch makes switching gears easy.

Good looks run in the family because the G310R carries the DNA of the BMW S1000R. With its bare design, it wears its heart on its sleeve and thus stands for lightness, precision, and a pure riding experience. The Sport style emphasizes the unmistakable racing look of the bike in particular. The engine area now comes in Titanium Gray Metallic. It gives the G310R its modern finish in combination with the footrest plates and pillion passenger grips.

Weighing in at 350 pounds (wet), the baby BMW is light off the stand and on the move. Along with that svelte figure, the 310 R boasts a 54.1-inch wheelbase, 25.1-degree rake, and four inches of trail. As a result, there’s rarely a radius too sharp for the lithe roadster. From hairpins to chicanes, the Beemer effortlessly tips in, holds its line, and pulls out of the corner. The only limiting attribute to the G301R’s fun factor turned out to be the Michelin Pilot Street tires.
