The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is a highly versatile motorcycle with Price under $5k.

Image
When Kawasaki boosted the previous Ninja 300 ′s engine displacement by 103cc to help create the Ninja 400 in 2018, the new Ninja quickly vaulted to the front of the entry-level motorcycle category by virtue of its perfectly balanced power/controllability ratio. That balance extends to the rest of the Ninja 400 ′s performance as well; the riding position is sporty without becoming a torture rack after 20 minutes, the fairing offers good wind protection on the highway as well as the canyons, and the overall chassis feel is comfortable on the street without coming unwound whenever the pace picks up. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 lineup returns unchanged this 2022, with three different flavors representing the small-bore twin sportbike class. You have a choice between the standard Ninja 400 , an ABS version, and the flagship 2022 Ninja 400 ABS KRT Edition . The KRT variant is the same as the ABS model, with the added feature of race-inspired graphics. The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 featu...

The BMW G310R Review Features and Specifications

Image
The BMW G310R is the perfect bike for urban day rides. It’s small and agile, easy to handle, and the 30.9-inch seat height ensures I can get my feet flat on the ground at every stop. The strength of the BMW G310R is in its lightness and agility. The 313cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine not only delivers fun in the big-city, but also when you are redefining the city limits when changing corners quickly. BMW added ride-by-wire to the 2022 G310R to meet Euro 5 emissions requirements. A side benefit is that the ECU is programmed to automatically increase the rpm if the engine is about to stall. Particularly for a novice-targeted bike, this is a great benefit. The unconventional single-cylinder engine has a special design: Compared to conventional designs, the cylinder head is rotated 180 degrees, which pushes the vehicle’s center of gravity towards the front wheel. This makes the G310R agile and easy to control. With the new Ride by Wire system, throttle response is stable and at t...

2021 Yamaha MT-03 Review Features and Specifications

Image
Although the Yamaha MT-03 existed as a single-cylinder model prior to 2016, it was nothing like the twin-cylinder version debuting that year. Utilizing the same engine and chassis as the new YZF-R3 , the naked bike version offered the perfect entry-level attributes as its sportbike brother, but in an even more accessible package. The 2022 version was the first year for the MT-03 to be sold in North America, and it saw updates to the styling (with LED headlight with dual LED running lights similar to the MT-09 and MT-10) and suspension (inverted KYB fork replacing the conventional unit, and a seven-step preload adjustable rear shock, both with firmer settings). Now for the 2022 model year, the Yamaha MT-03 comes with a new aggressive look and three color option: Cyan Strom, Team Yamaha Blue, and Matte Stealth Black, with the hopes of offering new riders with an intriguing offer that won’t bust the bank. Available at Yamaha dealers, the 2022 Yamaha MT-03 will retail for $4,799 MSRP. ...

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo Features and Specs

Image
The third generation KTM 1290 Super Duke R burst onto the super naked scene in 2020 with a new frame, suspension components, and a revised 1301cc V-Twin engine. Still aggressively styled, still finished in orange, and still happiest on one wheel, it is now more refined than ever before – with a claimed increase of 3bhp and less weight to muscle around, yet easy to live with in town and less inclined to chuck you off the back when you twist the noise tube. With an ant-like LED face tucked between a set of broad jagged shoulders, it looks fast standing still – with 30 seconds of riding confirming it’s even quicker on the move. It may be more grown up than ever, but it’ll still carry you from zero to jailtime faster than you can say 'sorry officer.'  For 2022, this sophistication has continued with the introduction of a new Evo model. Pricing at $19,599 USD for the standard bike in 2022, the  KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo  gains semi-active WP Apex suspension for a claimed gre...

The BMW S1000R is a naked bike that is heavily derived from the Bavarian manufacturer’s S1000RR superbike in engine, chassis, and technology. It shows, because during our first ride review it proved it’s a versatile motorcycle suitable for both road and track action. The S1000R sees big changes in 2022, beginning with its 999cc inline-four powerplant’s basic components and structure derived from the S1000RR superbike . The new engine meets Euro 5 emission standards, while being a claimed 11 pounds lighter than its predecessor. Internal ratios of fourth, fifth, and sixth gears are longer, aimed at reducing engine vibration and improving fuel consumption. To complement the engine, electronic rider aids have been updated and the S1000RR adopts BMW’s 6.5-inch TFT Display. LED lighting is also standard. The S1000R doesn’t aim for the torque-rich hooliganism of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R and Yamaha MT-10; nor does it share the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR’s screami...

The New 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Tourer

Image
The 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is a new middleweight sport-tourer built on the Trident 660 platform that was introduced last year. Triumph has its adventure bike bases covered with its various Tiger 850, Tiger 900, and Tiger 1200 models. But since the Tiger 1050 and Trophy were dropped from the lineup in recent years, it no longer has a sport-tourer in its lineup. Rather than go after the high-dollar, high-tech open-class sport-touring segment – which has all but dried up due to the popularity of adventure bikes – Triumph focused on the valued-priced middleweight segment, where it goes head-to-head with stalwarts like the Honda NC750X and Kawasaki Versys 650. The Tiger Sport 660 , which has a base price of $9,295. From the 17-inch cast wheels to the Nissin braking system and Michelin Road 5 tires, Hinckley leverages much of the Trident’s core components for the new model. Unique in this price and displacement class is the Tiger’s liquid-cooled, 12-valve, 660cc inline-Triple, a versa...

The Italian Motorcycle MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR

Image
The naked-sport-bike Dragster 800 RR from MV Agusta has been refreshed for 2022 with updated chassis, engine and electronics. The MV Agusta Dragster RR shares 99% of the same DNA as the MV Agusta’s Brutale line, but there are some noticeable differences. For starters, the Brutale is more of a naked bike, while the Dragster is decidedly more street fighter. Both are exceptional motorcycles, but the Dragster carries more attitude. It’s a sharp, responsive, and powerful motorcycle designed for precision hooning. The heart of Dragster 800 RR is a 798cc three-cylinder engine with new sintered valve guides and diamond-like carbon coated tappets for reduced friction, new bearings for the crankshaft, piston rods and countershaft, a modified exhaust collector, a...

The Italian Motorcycle MV Agusta Rush 1000

Image
MV Agusta Rush 1000 was introduced as a concept motorcycle at EICMA 2019. The concept motorcycle that gave birth to the Rush was based on the Brutale 1000 RR. MV Agusta called the motorcycle a “hyper naked,” as it offers more performance than the typical naked motorcycle, more exclusive styling, and supremely refined execution.  The 2022 Rush 1000 is still based on the Brutale 1000 RR, but you’ll see differences right away. A beautiful metallic gray tank with carbon fiber inserts and yellow highlights suggests a charging bison. The huge 17 inch rear wheel with its formidable carbon fiber shield also makes a powerful design statement. Pirelli’s special-edition Diablo Supercorsa radials rimmed in yellow provide a finishing touch. The 2022 MV Agusta Rush 1000 has A staggering price of $40,000 USD or $35,000 Euro.  Twice the price of the Ducati Streetfighter V4S? I don't think so, It has nothing over the Ducati and the same horsepower.  Maybe not for everyone, but then MV A...

The Italian Motorcycle MV Agusta Brutale 800 Rosso

Image
MV Agusta’s Brutale is probably the most acclaimed modern-age naked sports bike. The Brutale concept was born in 2000 from the inspired imagination of MV Agusta star designer Massimo Tamburini. The intuition of Tamburini was that he imagined a naked bike right from the start, designed to do without fairings or unnecessary details, and not as the result of the reverse, stripping-down process of a regular bike. It was conceived and built to be naked, with its beastly aggressive and ruthless looks that make it immediately recognisable. The Brutale 800 Rosso comes standard with a de-tuned version of MV Agusta’s 798cc inline-three cylinder engine that is shared with many other of their models in the mid-displacement lineup. This engine gives the Brutale 800 Rosso a healthy 110 horsepower that can get you up to a maximum speed of 237 km/h.
